On the 21st of April it was only 24 minutes after 911 received the call that there was an unresponsive male at the Paisley Park Studios, that rock star Prince was found dead, this according to a report released by the Carver County Sheriff’s Office.
Although attempts were made to resuscitate the musician, who had been found unresponsive in an elevator, they were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead at 10:07 am. The cause of death was listed as “unknown”. There were however prescription pills found at the site though it wasn’t clear to whom the prescription belonged. They did strike out suicide or foul play as the cause of death.
There was a search warrant signed and sealed though for investigation into his death and is supposed to be kept sealed and the contents unknown for 180 days dating from when the warrant was sworn on Thursday the 28th as there was some hyperbole about whether innocent people would come to harm should the contents be made public due to Prince’s fame in the music industry.
Here is a copy of the order that made its way into the possession of the people over at Lead Stories and I found it there in PDF form and took screen shots to post here for you if you’re interested.
Whatever they find when they finally execute this order will in no way deter or enhance in my eyes, the gift that this performer shared with the world. RIP Prince.
